About labstractions

I do feel hesitant to give meaning to artistic work that has, as an initiating motive, the purpose of avoiding all possible sense. However, it is my experience that such an avoidance is merely a vain effort. All painting is the creation of a suggestion for the next move, but when not interpreted right, the painting will not grow. And yet, the painting does not live, it is in you. How do we explain this dialogue between a painter and his/her painting?

What does the painting reflect? I do not know.
What do my paintings say? Not much, they do not speak.

But if the goal is that each painting represents a final stadium of arbitrary contingencies, I cannot but admit that we will end up with abstract expressionism. In an effort to escape as much as possible from the interference of subjective choice, it must be the most singular thing that emerges indeed. And as I see these singular creatures mutating, inhabiting the dystopian desert, as the vivid colours might suggest, I do not feel this heavily. It is sort of paradise to me.
